In Todays Letter...
Our days are filled with headlines; a world at war, they read.
Yet solace still exists, in the form of cigars.
Countless smokes have been enjoyed since the previous letter.
Uncharacteristically they merged and blurred between every new headline.
Yet they all shared a common thread - peace, tranquility and gratitude.
Operating in the world of commodities, it has been a tumultuous time to say the least.
Yet Arturo Fuente, Davidoff and Hoyo de Monterrey, have kept me fantastic company.
They have been a calming presence amidst the stormy sea.
We know that a cigar is not a God given right, rather it is a privilege that we are lucky enough to indulge in.
It is for that very reason, that alongside nicotine, gratitude may flood the system.
Every cigar is unique.
We all have favourites, alternative pallets and opinions. But truth be told. Cigars hold a universal beauty to all cigar lovers.
This letter is dedicated to every cigar alike - whilst we may hold favourites, our love extends to the very essence of cigars - the ritual of relaxation and contemplation.
In a world riddled with angst and opinion, remember there is solace and gratitude to be found in cigars.
As Socrates stated: “The unexamined life is not worth living”.
He may yet have enjoyed cigars - for it certainly allows you the space to examine life as it were.
Yours truly,
The Cigar Lover
