In Todays Letter...

Leather chairs softened by years of use.
The faint scent of cedar and smoke suspended permanently in the air like a memory.

Certain places wait for you - you return, and they receive you exactly as they did before - as if no time had passed at all.

Returning from Hong Kong, I arrived in London with a Ghurka sampler pack in hand.

Too many fall into the false reality that Cubans are the only true cigars. Short changing themselves of an array of diverse and powerful cigar experiences.

At Cigar Letters, we experience it all.

Countless Ghurkas have been consumed at this point, 15 years aged, 18 years, 21 years aged, you name it. The experience is always smooth, never harsh, they always burn well.

The Ghurka does not shock nor shout. It gently sits by your side, providing a mild constant dependability. It is for the regular smokers, it is one that affirms your love of cigars - for it is one only cigar lovers smoke and return to smoke.

A Ghurka is one you can take home and introduce to your family.

Diversity, is the spice of life, do not detain your palate in a prison of pretense, let it live free; for you may miss the love of your life for having closed your mind to the world.

Naturally, our lives vary, in mood, atmosphere, time and physicality. It is only right then that there is a cigar to suit each variation. If the mood is calm, with time aside and an everyday atmosphere, whilst you desire something light - then a trusty Ghurka may be at hand.

Yours truly,

The Cigar Lover

Story Behind The Cigar

Long before it appeared on cigar bands, “Gurkha” was the name given to the legendary Nepalese soldiers who fought against (and later alongside) the British Army during the 19th century.

Over time, Gurkha regiments became known worldwide for discipline, resilience, and fearlessness in combat, particularly throughout both World Wars.

Their symbol was the Kukri, the curved blade that is still closely tied to the Gurkha identity today.

Gurkha Cigars adopted the name from those origins.

The military-inspired imagery, ceremonial presentation, and commanding presence of the cigars all trace back to the reputation carried by the Gurkha soldiers themselves.
