In Todays Letter...

Life has its peaks and troughs, similarly cigar consumption has its peaks and troughs.

Yet for every peak, and every low, there is a cigar to match the tide.

Excess often leads to the diminished ability to truly appreciate what you are consuming in excess. Hence the saying “too much of a good thing”.

Therefore sometimes going for the smaller cigar, may encourage you to savour each second.

With that in mind, I spotted something slender, long, unobtrusive - elegant, yet delicate - with the band of the one and only H. Upmann.

Simply Majestic.

I settled in, lightly toasting and igniting the delicate foot of this wonderfully thin cigar.

H. Upmann Majestic

The draw required is not to be underestimated, the vitola demands a level of fortitude from the smokers lungs - to channel the smoke through the narrow cigar.

The effort is well worth the reward. Nothing good comes easy as they say.

Mild toasted tobacco with cedar and the light spice; balanced, refined and quietly complex, with its signature creamesque experience. The reason one returns to the H. Upmann line remains true within the essence of the Majestic.

In a world that encourages more - more time, more intensity, more indulgence - the Majestic offers something different.

Less, but intentionally and powerfully so.

A reminder that not every moment needs to be extended to be felt.
Not every experience needs to be amplified to be meaningful.

Sometimes, it is the shorter, more deliberate choices that leave the clearest impression.

The ones that ask for just enough of your time, and in return, give you all of your attention.

Yours truly,
The Cigar Lover

Story Behind The Cigar

The H. Upmann Majestic is rolled in the Mareva format:

5 1/8 inches
42 ring gauge

A size that in Cuban factories, has long been used as a benchmark for testing a blend.

At this ring gauge, the wrapper plays a greater role.
The burn must be precise.
Any imbalance is immediately exposed.

Larger cigars can hide flaws.

A Mareva cannot.

Which is why cigars like the Majestic aren’t just another format in a portfolio; they are a clear expression of how well a cigar is actually made.
